$54K worth of semi truck tires stolen, cross-country theft ring suspected

Ohio police are asking for help from the public in cracking a truck tire theft case.

Huber Heights

On January 6, the Huber Heights Police Department put out a call for public assistance in identifying several suspects who they say broke into a Kenworth dealership and stole tens of thousands of dollars worth of truck tires and wheels.

On 12/22/19, several subjects stole 84 semi-truck wheels and tires from Kenworth located at 7740 Centerpoint 70 Blvd. in Huber Heights, OH. 45424. Video surveillance has identified at least two suspect vehicles, described as a white box truck and a light-colored heavy-duty pickup truck. The box truck is a cabover style truck with a lift gate on the bed. “Sunrise” is printed on one side (passenger’s side) of the truck with a partial phone number “?35-2580”. The logo on the driver’s side of the box truck may not match the passenger’s side. The pickup in question is possibly tan with marker lights on the roof and seat covers on the driver’s seat.
It is suspected that there were multiple suspects with specialized tools who were traveling across the country hitting multiple locations. If anyone has information about the crime or the suspects please contact our detectives at 937-233-1565

The estimated value of the stolen goods is approximately $54,000.
